Marise Hyman

Founder

Blown away by becoming a mother in a foreign country in 2011, coupled with a growing fascination of the challenges parents face today when plunging into parenthood, Marise eagerly started developing her career in the field.

Not thinking twice, she waved goodbye to an 18 year successful yet unfulfilling Big 4 Audit & Accounting career in 2013, after the birth of her second baby. She then certified as International Maternity & Parenting Institute ("IMPI") Maternity Coach/Perinatal educator in 2014, Happiest Baby on the Block Educator in 2015, IMPI Pregnancy & Child Sleep Practitioner in 2016, "Becoming Us" Facilitator in 2017, Reiki Level I Practitioner in 2017, Dancing for Birth Instructor and Birth into Being Facilitator-in-training in 2018, trained as Fearless Birthing Professional (Headtrash Clearance method) and certified IMPI Holistic Childbirth Educator  in 2019. As Holistic Maternity & Empowerment Coach/Educator she teaches various ParentPrep group offerings for Luxmama and combines all her skills in Marise Hyman Maternity Coaching to holistically support expecting/new parents 1-to-1 for an empowered, heart-centered and confident journey into parenthood.

Also since 2013, she enjoyed growing a community and hosting a range of inspiring events and workshops for expecting/new parents, bringing together motivated and inspired volunteers and teachers in the Luxmama Club & ParentPrep asbl and in the process raising funds for Luxmama's awareness pillars.

She realised the need for an independent organisation in Luxembourg, raising awareness of important issues in English surrounding conditions of pregnancy, birth and parenting as well perinatal mental health.  She is fascinated by the field of Pre/perinatal Psychology and believes we need to Heal Birth to Heal Earth and therefore enjoys giving back to the community by planting seeds for positive change...

Her hopes are to inspire:

1. Families to be able to experience a conscious transition into parenthood through informed decision-making.

2. Families to have greater freedom in Luxembourg to choose what's best for their family and to be supported in their choices, and

3. Families to have the awareness of how their choices affect the health and longevity of themselves, their children and the planet we inhabit.

4. The community in truly celebrating parenthood... for we are often so busy with the physical rearing of children that we miss the glory of parenthood, just as the grandeur of the trees is lost when raking leaves...

She loves raw dark chocolate, crispy nuts, books that give you goose bumps, yet she gets jittery when strangers stand too close to her in the supermarket line!
