Better Pregnancy Sleep

From the moment a woman becomes pregnant, her body is undergoing many physiologic and biochemical changes. As a result the potential for sleep disturbances increases. With so many physical and emotional changes, it’s no surprise that 8 out of 10 women have insomnia and other sleep problems during pregnancy. Very little support or education exists anywhere to support families with sleep challenges during pregnancy and the newborn stage, even though sleep challenges during pregnancy greatly influence future outcomes.

Enter Luxmama's workshop to help you optimise Sleep already during pregnancy! When a mama-to-be nurtures her own sleep during pregnancy, she not only improves her and baby's health and well-being leading to better birth outcomes but she also gains a deeper understanding of how the body naturally functions around sleep, which in turn impacts a family’s experience of sleep after birth. Working proactively with Sleep during pregnancy, even before sleep challenges arise, is ideal and positively impacts baby's developing circadian rhythm in the womb.

This workshop will include the following topics:

What makes sleeping during pregnancy often challenging.

Sleep is impacted by anything and everything
Nutrition and sleep
Lessening nighttime awakenings
Quieting the racing mind

Emotions and sleep...
Do naps help or hurt?
Strengthening your own natural rhythm
The beauty of a bedtime routine
Is your sleep environment helping or hurting?

The uniqueness of sleep for each person
How do your sleep habits affect your baby’s sleep, and your postnatal experience?

And more...

After this workshop, participants will:

Understand what the human body needs to be able to sleep

Be able to start implementing action steps towards healthy sleep foundations

Understand the importance of sleep

Be able to plant the 1st positive seeds towards a nurturing and connecting NEW SLEEP JOURNEY for their new family (and know how to kindly ignore all those "negative nellies" saying you'll never sleep again ;-)
