Ildiko arrived in Luxembourg in 2007 after finishing her 6-month Erasmus scholarship, and started to work as Administrative Coordinator at a real estate company, and later as an Investor Relations Administrator.

 

Originally from Slovakia but with Hungarian nationality, she studied more than 10 years in Hungary and graduated as an International Relations Specialist in Szekesfehervar. As Erasmus student, she met her husband in the cold Lapland, with whom she moved to Luxembourg. They were married in 2012, and their first son was born in 2013.

 

After she has become a mum, she experienced difficulty as an expat parent in Luxembourg. The transition to be a new parent, was not an easy period for her, and she realized how an organisation like the Luxmama Club & ParentPrep asbl with its community of parents can help each other to better cope in this new life.

 

Her second son was born in 2016 and she decided to quit her job in order to be a stay-at-home-mum.

 

Now, as a mother of two she has joined the Luxmama Club as volunteer to be able to share her experiences, support other mothers and continue evolving and learning in motherhood.

 

She likes baking, gardeing, and currently she has started a sewing course. She likes meeting new people, spending time and DIY-ing with her kids as well as sharing her parenting experiences.
