Plan for Life after Birth

Becoming parents for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc time will bring various changes in your life. Change brings stress for human beings. Anticipating these changes realistically and becoming aware of steps you can take to make the adjustment easier on everybody will enable you to enjoy the experience more and focus on bonding with your new family. Many families today become parents without the "village of support" as seen in traditional cultures and previous Western generations. This workshop will enable you to set up your support "village" taking into consideration logistical and practical aspects of the "transition into parenthood".

This workshop will include the following topics:

Building a support network

Realistic Expectations

Know your resources: important contacts for breastfeeding and other postnatal contacts

When and where to ask for help

Prepare your home

Self-care

How to plan for visitors, navigate constant comments and "negative nellies"

Planning for healing and rest and why it's important for long-term health

Planning for nutritious meals

Planning for household tasks

Be mindful of mental health

How 2 parents can co-parent as a super team!

Packing the diaper bag

Fun!

More..
